Fellow Rotarians,

Photograph: Roger McDermott, District Governor ElectAs we prepare for our forthcoming Rotary year we approach what is arguably the most important event in the planning process. It is important that our Clubs are fully aware not only of the ‘theme,’ emphasis and projects that will be showcased at Loughborough, but also that Club representatives take the opportunity to participate in the various ‘group’ sessions that focus on their particular area of interest.

Many of you will be aware that 2010/11 will signal the start of The Future Vision Pilot Programme and the training at Assembly forms part of the Memorandum of Understanding that is implicit in 1070 participating as a Pilot District.
Club Presidents received an overview at PETS and more detail will be available on May 8th , not only for Foundation Officers but also for those who will be participating in The Foundation Programmes.

Rotary International President Elect Ray Klinginsmith is committed to supporting our Clubs as we recognise that Rotary Service IS delivered by our Clubs and Rotarians at Club level.

I look forward to meeting you at Loughborough on May 8th but remember, we still have 3 months left this year during which THE FUTURE OF ROTARY IS IN YOUR HANDS.

Roger McDermott, District Governor Elect.
