Bethany Dare, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Market Harborough, represented our Rotary District 1070 in the Rotary in Britain and Ireland Young Chef competition held in Chichester on 24th April where, along with the seven other Regional finalists, she cooked a healthy three course meal for two people. The judging was carried out by a distinguished panel which included last year's Young Chef winner.
Bethany's menu looked and smelled delicious and she did extremely well although she was not placed in the top three. The winner was Caitlin Grainger from Inverness and only 6 points separated the other competitors.
RIBI President David Fowler presented each competitor with a certificate and a cookery book and they also received a "goodie bag" from the event sponsors, Filippo Berio.
Many congratulations to Bethany for representing us as a winning Young Chef.
We all look forward to seeing her in action again in the 1070 competition next year." |
