Some of the projects which may be of interest:
1) RIBI (Rotary International in Britain & Ireland) Preferred Projects
These are projects which are be chosen usually each year by the RIBI President with a request that they be supported by all clubs in RIBI. This year, RIBI President Alan Jagger has chosen The Institute of Cancer Research and local cancer support groups.
2) RIBI Project Library
The RIBI library contains a number of approved projects with useful contact numbers for further details. Every club is issued with two copies of the Project Library but it can also be viewed on the RIBI website.
3) The District Community and Vocational Service Committee also promotes:

Excitement of Science Stroke & Health Awareness
Kids Out
Sailability
4) District projects also supported are:
Macmillan Cancer Care, Literacy, Environment

Macmillan Cancer Support helps people who are living with cancer. Each and every day 739 people in the UK are told they have cancer. More than one million people in the UK today have had a cancer diagnosis, and more than one in three will be diagnosed at some time in their life. Macmillan is one of the chosen charities to be supported in 2008/09 by Rotarians in Rotary District 1070.
