lOGO: drive - Driver training scheme for underage drivers to teach them how to drive safely.

Drive! A fantastic day out for 15 to 17 year olds who want to learn about safe driving. All for a nominal fee, Drive! Instructors (all CRB checked) with dual control cars give their time freely on special ‘Off-the-Road’ workshop days to put young drivers through skills including parking, speed control and obstacle avoidance without contact with public traffic.

The provisional date for the first workshop is Sunday, 15th July 2012, with a roll-out program every two-three months. Young drivers and parents will come together in groups of approximately twenty per event.

Research shows that early driving experience cuts road traffic collisions by 40%. One in five young people crash within six months of passing their tests. Motoring commentator and former Top Gear presenter, Quentin Willson, took his son to Young Driver Training and said, he has ” never seen him concertrate so hard”.
